Crittara TCG Is Almost Here!
I’m incredibly excited to announce that Crittara TCG is getting closer to launch!
Crittara has been a project I’ve put a tremendous amount of time, creativity, and passion into, and we’re finally approaching the point where I’ll be able to put the cards into your hands.
Right now, I’m working through the final tweaks, balancing, designs, and finishing touches to make sure everything is ready for the official release. There are still a few things I want to perfect before announcing a launch date, but we’re getting close.
More Than Just a Card Game
Crittara is a creature-based trading card game set in the year 3317, long after humanity was forced to abandon Earth. Nature has reclaimed much of the planet, and the animals left behind now inhabit a world transformed by centuries without human civilization.
Players build decks around incredible creatures, strategies, abilities, environments, and the Keepers who lead them into battle.
But one of the things that makes Crittara especially important to me is its connection to the real animals and people that inspired the game.
Knowledge Cards - Real Information About Real Animals
Knowledge Cards aren't just another type of card in Crittara. They contain real-world care information for the actual animals featured in the game.
I wanted Crittara to be something that could spark an interest in animals while also giving players genuine knowledge about the species they're collecting and battling with.
You might discover an animal through Crittara because it has an awesome card, then walk away actually knowing something about the real creature behind it and what goes into properly caring for that species.
Some Keepers Are Real Keepers
Crittara also brings a piece of the real animal-keeping community directly into the game.
While some Keeper Cards feature characters from the world of Crittara, some Keepers are based on real-world animal keepers, people who actually work with, raise, study, or care for incredible animals in real life.
It’s a way for Crittara to connect its fictional universe with the real community behind the animals that inspired it.
The Final Stretch
There’s still work happening behind the scenes, but Crittara is closer than ever. I’m currently focused on those final details that can make the difference between simply releasing the game and releasing it the way I envisioned it.
An official launch date will be announced as soon as everything is ready.
Until then, I’ll be sharing more of the world, creatures, Keeper Cards, Knowledge Cards, artwork, and gameplay behind Crittara.
